1. Who we are

Mobile IT Guys (MITG) is operated by SHAW, ZANEK DAVID, an individual / sole trader in Victoria, Australia. Our ABN is 88 746 198 216.

This policy explains how we handle information collected through our website, Facebook and Instagram lead forms, and related enquiries and marketing. For privacy questions or requests, email Zanek@MobileITGuys.com.au or call 0409 015 210.

2. Information we collect

• Lead details: your name, email address and phone number when you choose to provide them through a Meta lead form.
• Enquiries and communications: information you choose to include when you email, call, text or discuss the services you need, together with your communication preferences.
• Website information: technical and usage information such as your IP address, browser or device information, pages visited, referral and campaign information, and contact-button clicks.

Please do not include passwords, payment-card details or sensitive personal information in a lead form or initial enquiry. If you do not provide a way to contact you, we may be unable to respond.

The website enquiry form opens a draft in your own email application. We receive that enquiry only if you send the email; opening a draft does not send it to us.

3. How we use information

• Respond to enquiries, discuss requirements, prepare quotes and communicate about our services.
• Manage customer relationships and communication preferences.
• Send marketing about Mobile IT Guys services where you have agreed to receive it or it is otherwise permitted by applicable law.
• Understand website and advertising performance, improve our services, maintain security and meet applicable legal obligations.

4. Marketing choices

Submitting an enquiry or reading this policy does not, by itself, mean you have agreed to ongoing marketing. Any optional marketing choice on a lead form is separate from the information needed to respond to your enquiry.

You can opt out of marketing at any time using an unsubscribe option in a message or by emailing Zanek@MobileITGuys.com.au. You do not need to give a reason. We may still contact you about an existing enquiry or service, rather than for marketing.

We may retain a limited record of your opt-out so that we can respect it.

5. Storage, providers and sharing

We use Meta Lead Center to hold and manage Meta lead-form details. Access to those leads within our business is intended for authorised internal use. Internal access does not mean that the platforms providing the service do not process information.

• Meta (Facebook and Instagram): hosts lead forms and Lead Center, processes information you submit and supports advertising. See Meta’s Privacy Policy.
• Google: provides website analytics and advertising measurement. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
• Replit: hosts this website and may process technical requests and website logs needed to provide the hosting service. See Replit’s Privacy Policy.
• OpenStreetMap: supplies street-map tiles on our custom-websites page. Loading the map sends technical request information, including your IP address, to the map provider. See the OpenStreetMap Foundation Privacy Policy.
• Communication providers: email and phone providers process communications when you contact us or we respond.

We do not sell lead contact details or provide them to other businesses for their own marketing. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect legal rights or security.

Some providers may store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States and other countries where they operate. Their locations and practices depend on the service used; their privacy policies provide further information. Contact us if you need more information about a particular disclosure.

6. Analytics, cookies and advertising

We use Google Analytics 4 to measure visits, traffic sources, campaigns and actions such as clicking a call or SMS button. Advertising click identifiers and campaign tags in a page URL may be used to attribute those actions to advertising. These events measure clicks, not whether a phone call or enquiry was completed.

Google Ads receives imported conversion events from our linked Analytics account. Google’s services may use cookies or similar technologies according to the applicable settings. Analytics storage is enabled by default on this website; our Google tag defaults advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalisation to denied. These settings are not a guarantee that no technical or measurement information is sent to Google.

You can manage cookies in your browser, use Google’s Analytics opt-out tool, and review Google’s advertising preferences. Your choices may affect measurement or some website features. Meta’s own platform privacy and advertising settings also apply when you use its lead forms.

7. Retention and security

We keep personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to manage enquiries, customer relationships, services and agreed marketing, or to meet applicable legal obligations. We review what we hold and delete or de-identify it when it is no longer needed, subject to any required retention.

We take reasonable steps to protect information, including limiting business access and using the access controls available through the platforms we use. No online system or method of communication can be guaranteed completely secure.

8. Access, correction and deletion requests

Contact Zanek@MobileITGuys.com.au to ask what personal information we hold about you, request a copy, correct it, request deletion or change your communication preferences. We may need reasonable information to verify your identity before acting. Please do not send identity documents unless we explain why they are needed.

We will consider requests under applicable Australian law. Some information may need to be retained for legal obligations, an ongoing service or to honour an opt-out. If we cannot fulfil a request, we will explain why, where permitted. Requests concerning information held independently by Meta or another provider may also need to be made to that provider.

9. Children’s information

Our business services and advertising lead forms are not directed at children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so that we can review and address it.

10. Questions and complaints

Send privacy concerns to Zanek@MobileITGuys.com.au, explaining the issue and how we can contact you. We will review the concern and respond as soon as reasonably practicable.

This policy is intended for our Australian business. Applicable obligations may include the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles and marketing laws, depending on the circumstances; this policy does not assert that every provision applies to every small business. You can find independent guidance and information about complaints at the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, where the matter is within its jurisdiction.

We may update this policy when our practices or legal requirements change. The current version and its last-updated date will appear on this page. Where a change requires notice or consent under applicable law, we will provide that notice or seek that consent.
